Signbox Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Digital Signox website Terms and Conditions (referred to in this document as the ‘Terms’). We want you to know that privacy, security, confidentiality and great customer service are all very important to Digital Signbox so we devised these Terms to help make our website a safe and easy place to shop. Our Terms apply to the use of this website and the supply of goods ordered through it. By accessing the Digital Signbox Shop website and/or placing an order, you’re agreeing to be bound by the Terms we’ve set out below so, if you don’t want to be bound by them, please do not use the Digital Signbox Shop website.

1.1 Wo We are. Digital Signbx is owned by Signbox Limited, a company registered in England and Wales and our company registration number is 1938493. In addition to our core business of supplying architectural signage, we operate an ecommerce website from which our customers can order signage products online, and this specialist Digital Screen website . Our registered office is at Unit 3, Egham Business Village, Egham, Surrey, TW20 8RG and our VAT number is 413 9569 36

1.2 Contacting us. If you have any questions relating to these Terms please contact our Customer Services team on 0800 970 1313 or email and we’ll be happy to help. Our lines are open Monday-Friday, between 8.00am and 5.00pm, but we’re closed on weekends and Bank Holidays. Please note all calls to our Customer Services team may be subject to your standard telephone charges and inbound and outbound calls may be recorded for quality monitoring and training purposes.

1.3 How We may contact You. If we need to contact you, we’ll usually do so by emailing you at the email address you provided in your order. We may also contact you by telephone or post using the contact information you provided in your order

1.4 Definitions

2.1 Our contract. These Terms apply to orders placed by you and the supply of goods by us to you, which forms our Contract with you. No other terms are implied by trade, custom, practice or course of dealing.

2.2 Entire agreement. The Contract refers to the entire agreement between us in relation to its subject matter. It means you acknowledge you haven’t relied on any statement, promise or representation or assurance or warranty that isn’t set out in the Contract.

2.3 Language. We only set out these Terms and the Contract in the English language.

2.4 Your copy. Please print a copy of these Terms or save them to your computer for future reference.

3.1 Placing your order. Please follow the onscreen prompts when you place an order. Each order you place represents an offer by you to buy the goods specified in the order subject to these Terms.

3.2 Correcting input errors. Our order process makes it easy for you to check and amend any errors before you submit your order to us. Please check your order carefully before confirming it as you are responsible for ensuring your order and any specifications you submit with it are complete and accurate.

3.3 Acknowledging receipt and acceptance of your order. When you place an order, you’ll receive an email from us acknowledging receipt. Our acceptance of your order takes place when we send the email for you to accept it, at which point the Contract between you and us starts.

3.4 If we cannot accept your order. If we’re unable to supply you with the goods for any reason, we’ll notify you by email and we won’t process your order. If you’ve already paid for the goods you ordered, we’ll refund you the full amount including any delivery costs you were charged for as soon as possible.

4.1 The images of the goods on our site are for illustrative purposes only. Although we make every effort to display colours of our products accurately, we can’t guarantee that your computer's display will accurately reflect the colour of the goods. The colour of your goods may therefore vary slightly from the images on screen.

4.2 We'll take all reasonable care to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions, in fact all sizes, weights, capacities, dimensions and measurements indicated on our website have a 2% tolerance. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, the information displayed may not always reflect the exact position at the moment you place your order.

4.3 The packaging of your goods may look different to the images displayed on our site.

4.4 We reserve the right to amend the specification of the Goods if required by any relevant statutory or regulatory requirement.

5.1 You can cancel the Contract and receive a refund as long as you notify us as we’ve set out in clause 5.3 within seven days of your decision to cancel the Contract. OR within 48 hours of placing your order or within seven days of receiving your order.

5.2 However, this cancellation right does not apply to bespoke branded goods that have been customised to your requirements.

5.3 To cancel the Contract, you must email us at or contact our Customer Services team by telephone on 0800 970 1313 or by post to Customer Services Manager, Unit 3, Egham Business Village, Egham, Surrey, TW20 8RB. If you’re emailing us or writing to us please include the details of your order to help us identify it. If you send us your cancellation notice by email or by post, your cancellation will be effective from the date you send us the email or post the letter to us. For example, you will have given us notice in time as long as your letter is posted on the last day of the cancellation period or emailed to us before midnight on same day.

5.4 If you return your product to us unused in its complete original packaging and we’re therefore able to resell it ‘as new’, you’ll receive a refund of the full price of the product. We’re happy for you to unpack the product to inspect it, in the same way you’d be able to inspect it in a shop, but please be very careful until you’re sure you’re going to keep it. If you’ve used the product, had it installed, begun to input/download data or handled it beyond what’s reasonably necessary to inspect it (including removing screen protectors), we may not be able to resell it. This means that where the value of the product is reduced by actions you’ve taken, we may only make a partial refund, or charge you for the reduction in value.

Damaged items must be signed for as "Damaged" with the courier upon delivery or refused delivery.

5.5 If goods have been delivered to you before you decide to cancel the Contract then you must return them to us without undue delay – certainly no later than 14 days after the day you inform us to cancel the Contract. You can either send them back or hand them to our authorised carrier. Please use the pre-printed returns labels supplied on your delivery note and contact us (see 5.3) to arrange collection.

All digital screen products and accessories (stands and mounts) are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

6.1 From receipt of your order and payment of it in full, we aim to deliver within seven working days, stock permitting. Occasionally, our delivery to you may be affected by an event that’s beyond our control. See clause 14 (‘Events outside our control’) for more information about our responsibilities when this happens.

6.2 Delivery is complete once the Goods have been unloaded at the delivery address set out in your order – the goods will be your responsibility from that time. It is your responsibility to transport the goods from curb side into your premises.

6.3 You'll own the Goods once we've received payment in full, including all applicable delivery charges.

6.4 If we fail to deliver the Goods, our liability is limited to the cost of obtaining replacement goods of a similar description and quality in the most competitive market available, less the price of the goods. However, we won’t be liable to the extent that any failure to deliver was caused by an event outside our control (see 14) or because you didn’t provide adequate delivery instructions or any other instructions that were relevant to the supply of goods or because you provided an inadequate, inaccurate or misleading specification of the goods.

6.5 If you fail to take delivery within 10 days from the day we notified you that the goods were ready for delivery, we may resell part of or all them. Bespoke goods manufactured to your specification will still be chargeable.

6.6 Delivery slots are between 8am - 6pm.  Any missed deliveries will be subject to a re-delivery fee.  Pre-12 delivery is available at an additional cost.

(a) Damage, shortages and discrepancies: The Buyer shall be responsible for inspecting the Goods on delivery to check the Goods and packaging for damages, shortages and discrepancies. If there is any damage, shortage or discrepancy with respect of the Goods, the Buyer shall notify Digital Signbox within 3 working days of delivery. If the Buyer fails to do so then Digital Signbox shall not be liable for the damage, shortage or discrepancy. A "delivery" or "arrivals" note signed by the Buyer or its agent indicating that the Goods are in good order on arrival shall be conclusive proof of the same and bind the Buyer.  Damaged goods must be signed for as “Damaged” or refused delivery.

(b) Goods that fail on installation: Digital Signbox operates a returns procedure for Goods that fail on installation. The Buyer must comply with all instructions given to it by Digital Signbox in relation to the applicable Goods that fail on installation returns procedure. The Buyer shall notify Digital Signbox, within 24 hours, if any Goods appear to have failed. The Buyer must notify Digital Signbox of any apparent Goods that fail on installation within 5 working days of delivery.

(c) Goods that fail after installation: Faulty Goods must not be returned to Digital Signbox without notice. The Buyer must notify Digital Signbox within 3 working days of the fault becoming apparent and follow the instructions notified to it by Digital Signbox in relation to the fault.

(d) General provisions relating to Goods that fail on installation and Faulty Goods:

(1) Should the Buyer return the Goods otherwise than as set out in these Terms and Conditions then the Buyer shall pay all Digital Signbox costs and expenses in liaising with the manufacturer concerning the return. (2) The Buyer shall pay all Digital Signbox costs and expenses if the Goods suspected to be Goods that fail on installation or Faulty Goods prove not to be Goods that fail on installation or Faulty Goods. (3) The Buyer shall be responsible for all transportation and insurance costs relating to returned Goods. (4) Digital Signbox shall not be responsible for installation of returned Goods after repair or exchange. (5) Any labour costs and expenses incurred in extracting defective parts and/or components shall be borne by the Buyer and if incurred by Digital Signbox shall be paid for by the Buyer. (6) The Buyer shall also be responsible for all Digital Signbox costs if Digital Signbox agrees to collect the Goods for return and such Goods are not ready for collection at the agreed time.

7.1 We deliver anywhere in the world as long as there’s a carrier service for your location.

7.2 If you order goods from our website for delivery outside the UK, they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination and you’ll be responsible for payment of these charges. Please note we have no control over these charges and can’t predict the amounts involved. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

7.3 You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the goods are destined; we can't be held liable for any breach by you of any such laws.

8.1 The prices of the goods will be as quoted on our website at the time you submit your order. We take all reasonable care to ensure the prices of goods are correct when the information was entered onto our system. However, please see clause 8.5 to find out what happens if we discover an error in the price of goods you ordered.

8.2 Prices for our goods may change from time to time, but no changes will affect an order you’ve already placed.

8.3 The price of goods excludes VAT (where applicable) at the applicable current rate chargeable in the UK. However, if the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date of delivery, we’ll adjust the VAT you pay, unless you’ve already paid for the goods in full before the change in VAT takes effect.

8.4 The price of the goods shown on the website doesn’t include delivery charges. Our delivery charges are quoted to you during the check-out process, before you confirm your order.

8.5 We sell many goods through our website and it’s always possible that, despite our reasonable efforts, some of the goods online may be incorrectly priced. Normally we’ll check prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that:

(a) where the correct price for the goods' is less than the price stated on our site, we’ll charge the lower amount when dispatching the goods to you; and

(b) if the correct price for the goods' is higher than the price stated on our site, we’ll contact you as soon as possible to tell you about the error and give you the option of purchasing the goods at the correct price or cancelling your order. We won’t process your order until we have your instructions. If we’re unable to contact you using the contact details you provided during the order process, we’ll treat the order as cancelled and notify you in writing. However, if we mistakenly accept and process your order where a pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have been as mispricing, we may cancel the supply of the goods and refund you any money you’ve paid.

9.1 You can only pay for goods ordered on the website by using a debit card or credit card; we accept VISA, VISA Electron and MASTERCARD.

9.2 Payment for the goods and delivery charges must be made in advance and we’ll charge your credit or debit card when you complete your order.

9.3 The Inland Revenue accepts we’re not associated with the building industry, so we’re not within the province of the construction industry tax deduction scheme, as detailed in Appendix B of publication IR14/15 (CIS). This means there’s no restriction on us being paid in full without deducting tax.

10.1 Money-off vouchers and voucher codes are not exchangeable for cash and can only be used once per transaction. You can’t use them to purchase gift vouchers.

10.2 Money-off vouchers and voucher codes can't be used in conjunction with any other voucher or voucher code.

10.3 Discounts and promotional discount codes offered on the website can only be used as part of a purchase made via the website, unless otherwise stated.

10.4 If You return a product for refund that has been purchased with a money-off voucher, we'll refund you the full price of that item less the value of the voucher used.

10.5 Money-off vouchers and promotional discount codes can't be used to pay for delivery charges.

11.1 Digital Signbox goods are intended for use predominantly in the UK. We do not warrant that the Goods comply with the laws, regulations, or standards outside the UK.

11.2 We provide a warranty that on delivery, the Goods will:

a) subject to clause 4, conform in all material respects with their description.

(b) be free from material defects in design, material, and workmanship; and

(c) be of satisfactory quality (within the meaning of the Sale of Goods Act 1979)

11.3 Subject to clause 11.4, if:

(a) you give us notice in writing within five working days of delivery that some or all of the goods do not comply with the warranty set out in clause 11.2;

(b) we're given a reasonable opportunity of examining the goods; and

(c) if we ask you to do so, you return the goods to us at our expense,

We will, at our option, repair or replace the defective goods, or refund the price of the defective goods in full.

11.4 We will not be liable for breach of the warranty set out in clause 11.2 if:

(a) you make any further use of the goods having given notice to us under clause

11.3; (b) the defect arises as a result of us following any drawing, design or specification supplied by you;

(c) you alter or repair the goods without our written consent;

(d) the defect arises as a result of fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, or abnormal storage or working conditions; or

(e) the goods differ from their description or specification as a result of changes made to ensure they comply with any statutory or regulatory requirements.

11.5 We'll only be liable to you for the goods' failure to comply with the warranty set out in clause 11.2 to the extent set out in this clause (11).

11.6 The terms implied by sections 13 to 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from the Contract.

11.7 These Terms also apply to any repaired or replacement goods supplied by us to you.

11.8 – Warranty specific to digital screens (excluding e-paper displays):

Warranty (UK Mainland) For Europe & Overseas Warranty – get in touch

Covers hardware failure but excludes accidental damage or user error.

Free lifetime telephone and email technical support.

14 day returns policy.

All standard product ranges come with a 3-year warranty starting from date of invoice. This excludes Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) products which come with a 2-year warranty. This also excludes all bespoke hardware which is manufactured under OEM. All bespoke products come with a strict 1-year warranty, unless extended at point of order.

Any warranty extension needs to be completed at point of order and should be clearly noted on the sales invoice.

Any suspected hardware failure should be reported to Digital Signbox first. Digital Signbox will then provide telephone and/or email technical support to determine hardware failure; hardware failure must be confirmed by Digital Signbox.

Once hardware failure has been determined by Digital Signbox over the phone or on email the screen should be repackaged using the original packaging material and method (including bespoke pallet where necessary). At this point Digital Signbox, at our discretion, will take one of the following actions:

An advanced replacement product will be sent out by courier service. The product should be swapped-out by the customer and the faulty unit repackaged using the packaging from the replacement unit. Once confirmation has been received from the customer, courier collection will be arranged by Digital Signbox, and the faulty screen should be repackaged using the original packaging. Digital Signbox will then arrange for collection of the faulty product by a courier service. Once the product is back with Digital Signbox it will either be repaired or replaced with a comparable unit and sent back to the customer by courier.

All deliveries and collections will be at the cost of Digital Signbox.

If the product is not packaged correctly no liability will be taken by Digital Signbox if the product is damaged during transit.

If the product is returned in full working order, no liability will be taken by Digital Signbox and any costs incurred will be passed on to the customer.

For on-site service the product must be in a location accessible to our technician(s) and in no circumstances would Digital Signbox staff be expected to remove screens or disassemble non-standard installations or constructions or be expected to work above ground level.

Where no genuine hardware failure has occurred a call out charge of at least £170 (+VAT) is payable for each visit.

For customised, bespoke or out of stock items the turnaround period is dependent upon factors such as, but not limited to, availability, production and shipping.

If a product with a valid CMS licence suffers a hardware failure during its warranty period and a replacement product is required, then Digital Signbox will transfer the CMS licence in this case.

For displays intended to be installed in windows, it is advised that the panel surface should be positioned no less than 100mm away from the inner side of the window, and at least 50mm away from the wall behind the unit. However, it is highly recommended by Digital Signbox to maintain a larger gap of 200mm between the front of the display and the window, along with a distance of 70mm between the rear of the screen and the wall. This specific spacing ensures proper air circulation around the display. Failing to adhere to these guidelines may lead to issues that are considered to be caused by the user.

This warranty covers hardware failure and shall not apply to the following, including, but not limited to: damage which occurs in shipment; delivery or installation; integration into an enclosure or kiosk with insufficient air flow or ventilation; applications and uses for which this product was not intended; altered product or serial numbers; cosmetic damage or exterior finish; accidents, abuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning or other aspects of nature; use of products, equipment, systems, utilities, services, parts, supplies, accessories, applications, installations, repairs, external wiring or connectors not supplied or authorised by Digital Signbox, or which damage this product or result in service problems; incorrect electrical voltage, fluctuations and surges; customer adjustments and failure to follow operating instructions, cleaning, maintenance and environmental instructions; product removal or reinstallation; reception or display problems and distortion related to noise, echo, interference or other signal transmission and delivery problems; reduced screen brightness related to normal aging, burned-in images, mura (including backlight bleed), blackening and defective pixels within the panel manufacturers accepted tolerance.

12.1 We only supply goods for use by your business, and you agree not to use the goods for any resale purposes.

12.2 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

(a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

(c) breach of the terms implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (title and quiet possession); or

(d) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

12.3 Subject to clause 12.2, we will not be liable to you, under any circumstances, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising under or in connection with the Contract for:

(a) any loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue; or

(b) loss or corruption of data, information or software.

(c) loss of business opportunity; or

(d) loss of anticipated savings; or

(e) loss of goodwill; or

(f) any indirect or consequential loss.

12.4 Subject to clause 12.2, our total liability to you for all losses arising under or in connection with the Contract, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, will in no circumstances exceed the total price of the goods.

12.5 Except as expressly stated in these Terms, we do not give any representations, warranties, or undertakings in relation to the goods we supply. Any representation, condition or warranty which might be implied or incorporated into these Terms by statute, common law or otherwise is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. We won't be responsible for ensuring that the goods are suitable for your purposes.

13.1 Without limiting any of our other rights, we may suspend the supply or delivery of the goods to you, or terminate the Contract with immediate effect by giving written notice to you if:

(a) you commit a material breach of any term of the Contract and (if such a breach is remediable) fail to remedy that breach within 30 days of you being notified in writing to do so;

(b) you fail to pay any amount due under the Contract on the due date for payment;

(c) you take any action in connection with entering into administration, provisional liquidation or any composition or arrangement with your creditors (other than in relation to a solvent restructuring), being wound up (whether voluntarily or by order of a court, unless for the purpose of a solvent restructuring), having a receiver appointed to any of your assets or ceasing to carry on business;

(d) you suspend, threaten to suspend, cease or threaten to cease to carry on all or a substantial part of your business; or

(e) your financial position deteriorates to such an extent that in our opinion your capability to adequately fulfil your obligations under the Contract has been placed in jeopardy.

13.2 A termination of the Contract shall not affect your or our rights and remedies that have arisen at that point.

13.3 Any provision of the Contract that’s intended to come into or remain in force on or after termination will remain in full force and effect.

13.4 No order that’s been accepted by us may be cancelled by you unless you have agreement in writing from us and on terms that you’ll indemnify us in full against all loss (including loss of profit), costs (including the cost of all labour and materials used), damages, charges and expenses incurred by us as a result of your cancellation.

14.1 We won't be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of any of our obligations under the Contract that’s caused by any act or event beyond our reasonable control, i.e. an ‘event outside our control’.

14.2 If an event outside our control takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under the Contract:

(a) we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to notify you; and

(b) our obligations under the Contract will be suspended and the time for performance of our obligations will be extended for the duration of the event. Where the event affects our delivery of goods to you, we’ll arrange a new delivery date with you after the event is over.

14.3 You can cancel a Contract affected by an event outside our control that’s continued for more than 30 days – simply contact us to do so. If you do opt to cancel, you’ll have to return any relevant goods you’ve already received and we’ll refund the price you paid, including any delivery charges.

15.1 When we refer to "in writing" in these Terms, this includes email.

15.2 Any notice or other communication given by one of us to the other under or in connection with the Contract must be in writing and be delivered personally, sent by pre-paid first-class post or other next working day delivery service, or email.

15.3 A notice or other communication is deemed to have been received:

(a) if it has been delivered personally, a delivery receipt has been signed or the notice has been left at the proper address;

(b) if sent by pre-paid first-class post or other next working day delivery service, at 9.00 am on the second working day after posting; or

(c) if sent by email, at 9.00 am the next working day after transmission.

15.4 In proving the service of any notice, it will be sufficient to prove, in the case of a letter, that it was properly addressed, stamped and put in the post and, in the case of an email, that it was sent to the correct specified email address.

15.5 The provisions of this clause shall not apply to the service of any proceedings or other documents in any legal action.

16.1 Unless otherwise stated, the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the content on the Website are owned by us or our licensors. Any access or use of the website for any reason other than your personal, non-commercial use is prohibited.

16.2 No part of the website may be reproduced or stored in any other website or included in any public or private electronic retrieval system or another website without our prior written permission.

16.3 You acknowledge and agree that the material and content contained on the website is available for your personal, non-commercial use only and that you may (if necessary to make a purchase) download such material and content onto one computer hard drive. Any other use of the material and content on the website is strictly prohibited.

16.4 You agree not to (or assist or facilitate any third party to) copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works of such material and content.

17.1 Assignment and transfer.

(a) We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under the Contract to another entity.

(b) You may only assign or transfer your rights or your obligations under the Contract to another person if we agree in writing.

17.2 Variation. Any variation of the Contract will only be affected if it’s made in writing and signed by you and us (or our respective authorised representatives).

17.3 Waiver. If we don’t insist that you perform any of your obligations under the Contract, or enforce our rights against you or if we delay in doing so, that won’t mean we’ve waived our rights against you or that you don’t have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive any rights, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any right related to any later default by you.

17.4 Severance. Each paragraph in these Terms stands independently. If any court or relevant authority decides any paragraph is unlawful or unenforceable, those remaining will remain in full force and effect.

17.5 Third party rights. The Contract is between you and us and no other person has any rights to enforce any of its Terms.

17.6 Governing law and jurisdiction. This Contract is governed by English law and each party agrees to submit any disputes arising out of or in connection with it to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

17.7 WEEE Compliance The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations were introduced to the UK in 2007 to try to reduce the amount of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) ending up in landfill by encouraging its reuse, recycling and recovery. Electrical and Electronic equipment is any product that relies on electricity or batteries to perform its primary function, for example, an illuminated Fire Exit sign. Since Signbox is a producer of EEE, as per the requirements of the regulations, we’re committed to financing the recovery and recycling of WEEE when it reaches the end of its life.

Signbox products covered by the WEEE Regulations carry a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on either the product itself or its packaging. This symbol should encourage you to dispose of the product separately to other household waste when it reaches the end of its life. To find more information on WEEE recycling and, to locate your nearest recycling centre, please visit the Recycle More website at
